The Purple Gladioli Universe
The common theme of these stories is their setting – a fictitious Australian country town in the 1970s. They encompass everything from a card game to love long gone, a free-spirited hippy to a young mother lost in the countryside. They don’t conveniently fit into any one genre, but you may notice the occasional influence of The X Files and Twilight Zone.
I may one day release them as an anthology, but meanwhile feel free to enjoy them here.
Technically this is a monster story. But who exactly is the monster here?
The Game
Friday night in a pub in an Australian country town. Nothing ever changes – until The Redhead walks through the door.
Historical
A skeleton at the bottom of the Caribbean Sea contemplates his fate.
